What is Diagnodent?
Diagnodent is the newest in laser cavity detection, and it is now available in our office at no extra charge!
How does it work?
Diagnodent works by scanning a wave length of pulsed light across the teeth. It has both calibrated numbers and audio alerts that indicate when decay is present.
What are the advantages of Diagnodent?
It's less invasive than taking x-rays & produces no radiation. In most cases, it can detect decay before it is evident on x-rays. It confirms whether preventative measures, such as sealants, are working effectively.
Who most benefits from Diagnodent?
Because the light cannot pass through crowns or filling material, Diagnodent is ideal for children, teens and adults who do not have a large number of fillings
